A Slow Evening Ritual for Better Sleep & Better Skin

The best skincare routine in the world will not work as well if you are not sleeping deeply. Skin regenerates while you rest - a consistent wind-down ritual prepares both your mind and skin.

Start by switching off overhead lights and use warm, dim lamps instead. Blue light from screens suppresses melatonin. If you must be online, enable night mode and put your phone on "do not disturb" an hour before bed.

Warm oil massage for the scalp and ends of your hair takes 3 minutes, and a warm massage lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) measurably.

Do your evening skincare slowly instead of rushing it. Feel the textures - press serums in, do not rub. Let the products fully sink in before you lie down.

Sip herbal tea instead of caffeine. Tulsi, chamomile or mint work well. Write down 3 good things about your day. You will fall asleep faster, and your skin will thank you in the morning.
